Have you listened to the radio these days? Notice anything? The same ten songs over and over. Where is the variety? Where are the new artists? Not to long ago people relied on Disc Jockeys to find and share new and exciting talent. When was the last time you said, “Did you hear that new song on the radio?” It’s probably been a while.
Enter Pandora, the free internet radio that allows you to steer your listening experience towards your own tastes and preferences. You can select and vote for artists that you like and
Pandora will try to find music that fits your tastes.
With over 50,000,000 users, you have probably heard about Pandora. If you haven’t signed up and given it a try I highly recommend you do so.
I did for several reasons, but most importantly for new artists. I want to discover bands and singers that I have never heard of. In recently years I have found that my love of music has no future, all of the albums on my iphone are years old. I would love to start going to concerts again. I want to feel like I did when I first heard “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.
That aspect is missing from mainstream FM radio and MTV(don’t get me started), but it lives on Pandora. I was missing it, so I joined.
