I really enjoyed the last giveaway, but I made a few mistakes. The duration of the giveaway was too short and I wrongly assumed that having a giveaway instantly attracts people. Logically it makes sense, if you told people you were giving out something for free they should come running. I would.
But, to sign up for something you have to know it exists. I need to do a better job promoting these events. The other complaint a friend a mine made was that the program I used to run the first contest didn’t do a great job explaining the contest or the reward and seemed like it might be a sign up for spam. To remedy this I have chosen a new contest software and have decided to lengthen the duration to two weeks.
