A friend of mine once said to me “You know you’re and adult when snow stops being fun.” I can relate, driving in snow can be a hassle and shoveling it gets old pretty fast, but that doesn’t make it all bad. Snowmen, sledding, snowball fights, plenty of fun to be had as well. Here are a few inexpensive item to help you maximize your snowy fun.
- Paricon Flexi Tube $9.95 – Growing up I was always a plastic sled kid. Last year the “Future Bride” an I went sledding and we noticed that a lot of people had switched over to tubes. It makes sense as they are easier to drag up a hill, softer or bumps, and they often spin as you go down a hill. The downside is that they can get holes in them, but at 10 bucks anything after one winter is gravy.
- Flexible Flyer Snowball Maker $4.76 – I tried one of these out two years a go and all I can say is, Wow. This thing makes perfectly round snowballs twice as fast as you could by hand. With the same amount of effort it takes to use a pair of hedge clippers you can make dozens of perfect snow balls.
- Snowfling Snowball Throwing Sticks $4.99 – I haven’t tried these, but the reviews are great. Lacrosse players should be particularly good at using it.
